Mike was planning to make an album with Bulgarian influences. In his intro to Delta City Blues you can hear that he was studying those particular phrases (starting at 1:18). Unfortunately he never got the time to explore this more. Another rather unique thing about this clip is that he plays on a wooden saxophone neck made by Paraschos from Greece.
